Combatting Anti-Black Racism – Workshop
The Get REAL Movement’s Combatting Anti-Black Racism workshop is an effective look at racism – a combination of practical advice, statistics, historical context, and interactive activities to help unpack biases and promote allyship for all. You will leave the workshop with:
- an increased knowledge on identifying, unlearning, and combatting anti-Black racial bias and discrimination
- education on language, statistics, and historical context as they relate to anti-Black racism
a better understanding of racial bias and microaggressions - the opportunity to ask questions and get advice anonymously from Get REAL speakers
The workshop will take place virtually on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 7:00-8:30pm. To RSVP, please go and complete the form.
SPACE IS LIMITED—SPOTS WILL BE FILLED ON A FIRST COME-FIRST, SERVE BASIS.
Organized by Hillcrest Community School, McMurrich Junior PS, and Earl Grey PS School Councils thanks to the TDSB School Council Innovation Grant.
