SUMMARY:School Book Fair
DESCRIPTION:Attention all book lovers! McMurrich is hosting the Scholastic Book Fair beginning Monday\, December 5 through Friday December 9. The Book Fair will be open in the morning from 9:00am – 11:35 am for classes and a time after school for families to come together.  Family hours are Monday after school until 4:00pm\, Tuesday after school until 6:00pm and Thursday after school until 4:00pm. \nThis is a great fundraiser for the school and an opportunity for us to expand and improve the library collection. There will be 50/50 Family Event Prize that all students will be entered in. The winner will receive $25 to spend at the Bookfair and $25 will go to the classroom of the winner. \nTeachers will be asked to make a wish list of books to add to their classroom library and this will be made available to families if they wish to participate. \nLogistically\, this is a bit of an undertaking! As such\, I am looking for parent volunteers to help with setup and takedown\, as well as running the cash register. Anyone interested in helping is asked to send me an email at Devon.Marshall@tdsb.on.ca.

Blankets\, pillows\, yoga mats\, stuffies and PJs are always welcome.  \nVolunteers are needed and welcomed to make this event possible. We will also need volunteers to make and package popcorn ahead of time. Pop the popcorn at home – package in individual bags (Dollarama sells cute movie popcorn bags) and drop it off at the snack table when you arrive for the movie. If you have other packaged snacks to donate\, drop them off too (halloween candy could be great :)).
